Kaiju Attack Kaiju list

There are ten Kaiju to defeat in Kaiju Attack, and each one is slightly different with their own attack and movement patterns, as well as unique strengths and weaknesses. For more general tips on defending your cities, check out my Tips and Tricks, or take a peek at the Secret Weapons guide. The difficulty ranking list below doesn’t include the final boss for spoilers’ sake, but you can safely assume it’s the hardest one of all.

Difficulty ranking

Unpredictable

  • Final boss (spoiler) – to be expected, really.
  • Robota (specifically at higher levels; 6 or 7)
  • Poluto (again, at higher levels)
  • Yamasa

Straightforward

Kilaba / Taiwan

Kilaba from the game Kaiju Attack

Movement pattern: One tile at a time in random directions every time.

Attack pattern: Laser. Picks a random starting point, then goes in a random direction. Sometimes more than once on higher levels.

Notes: There’s no easy way to pre-empt its laser attack, so keep an eye on the board and try to make sure you don’t have a row or column full of survivors.

Weak to Kinetic and Cryogenic weapons.

Dinota / Germany

Dinota from the game Kaiju Attack

Movement pattern: Moves in a straight line. Random direction, random number of tiles.

Attack pattern: Attacks in a direction away from itself, either horizontally or vertically. Don’t think I’ve ever seen it attack diagonally.

Notes: Kind-of a pushover. Sorry, dinoboy. Keep the board balanced, and you’ll win eventually. The usual advice of “don’t keep your survivors in a row right next to it” applies.

Robota / U.K.

Robota from the game Kaiju Attack

Movement pattern: Straight line in a random direction for a random number of tiles.

Attack pattern: Attacks out from itself in either a + or X pattern. Sometimes more than once on higher levels.

Notes: Can get pretty tough at higher levels with multiple attacks. It can clear most of the board in one attack phase, which is not fun. Frozen Tank or Pulse Mine secret weapons highly recommended.

Poluto / China

Poluto from the game Kaiju Attack

Movement pattern: Teleports to a random tile on the board.

Attack pattern: Spits out in a + or X centred on itself.

Notes: Ranges from pushover to “double-attack that ruins you in one turn”. Keep your survivors sparse and keep trying!

Mozila / Japan

Mozila from the game Kaiju Attack

Movement pattern: One tile at a time in random directions every time.

Attack pattern: Attacks in a straight line starting from its own tile. Sometimes more than once on higher levels.

Notes: A straightforward one, because it only attacks away from itself. Try not to have a row or column full of survivors and you’ll probably be alright.

Splito / USA

Splito from the game Kaiju Attack

Movement pattern: Straight line in a random direction for a random number of tiles.

Attack pattern: Attacks tiles on the board randomly. Sometimes more than once salvo on higher levels.

Notes: The random attack pattern is annoying and there’s not much you can do about that, but at least you have some idea how it moves. Don’t place anything valuable in the same row or column.

Alimar / France

Alimar from the game Kaiju Attack

Movement pattern: Teleports to a random spot on the board.

Attack pattern: Laser. Picks a random starting point, then goes in a random direction. Sometimes more than once on higher levels.

Notes: Haven’t found this one too deadly. Lasers can be annoying, but they’re predictable in the sense that it’s always a straight line. Try to keep keep your valuable tiles out of the same row or column and you won’t get hit too badly.

Yamasa / Russia

Yamasa from the game Kaiju Attack

Movement pattern: One tile at a time in random directions every move.

Attack pattern: Total chaos, attacks tiles randomly.

Notes: Quite a tough one, actually. It attacks a lot, and because it’s random and unpredictable, it can cost you a lot. Frozen Tank highly recommended as a secret weapon.

Spoiler alert for the content below

Chaosa / Bermuda

Chaosa from the game Kaiju Attack

Movement pattern: Teleports to a random tile on the board.

Attack pattern: Boom. Unleashes on a tile, taking out a 3-by-3 grid around it. Will not damage itself.

Notes: This one’s more of an endurance fight. It’s got a lot of health, just about double the next closest Kaiju. If you keep on top of your strategy though, you’ll be fine. I believe in you!

Chaosa (final form) / Bermuda

Chaosa (final form) from the game Kaiju Attack

Movement pattern: Teleports to a random tile on the board.

Attack pattern: It slices, it dices, it pulverizes! Just like the previous form, this one unleashes a nuke and takes out a 3-by-3 square around it. Except now it can do that twice, sometimes.

Notes: You’re going to have to rebuild a lot. It’s going to take a bit of strategy and a pinch of luck, but it’s another endurance fight. I recommend either the Frozen Tank or the Copycat as your special – Copycat if you’re feeling bold, and the other if you’re after an extra helping hand. Good luck, you’re going to need it!
